Hello! My name is Fiona and I am a hand lettering + graphic design artist, proud mama, and wife to my high school sweetheart! I graduated with a Bachelor of Communication and Design in 2005 and started working in fashion publishing as a Graphic Designer soon after. I worked in publishing for nearly 4 years until I left to pursue a desire of owning my own online fashion business. This chapter of my life was personally challenging which led me on my spiritual path of self love and self acceptance to which I discovered that owning an online fashion business wasn’t where my heart truly lied. Once I closed that chapter, I fell pregnant with my first child and that experience really made me re-evaluate what was important to me and how I envisioned my life going forward as a new Mum. So Simplyalove :: Hand Lettering + Design Studio was born as I have simplyalove of hand lettering and design and it allowed me to merge my love of creating and family all into one.
Coffee is life these days as a Mum of 2 boys and running a small business but when I’m not busy creating in my studio I love spending time with my beautiful friends and family! My weaknesses include shoes, 100% cotton paper stock, children’s wooden toys and books and anything hand lettered. I have a love for the 1940s, war-time nostalgia and country/farm living. Oh and I am a hopeless romantic, the idea of love letters and perfume spritzed handkerchiefs make me smile!
I try my best everyday to stay connected to what gives me the most amount of joy and fulfillment in my life and relish in the time I spend with my boys. If you’re interested in collaborating with me, bouncing ideas or just simply want to say hi, I’d love to hear from you!
